Here come the Dog Days of July! We love July here because it's not only the month of Independence for our U.S.A. it's also the month of getting independent from our projects! That's right, it's time for our Annual World's Best Needlepoint Garage Sale. This event is actually in our store, and it's all about the customers. They drop off their pieces that they don't want anymore, and hopefully they find good homes over the three days which this year are July 15, 16 and 17. It's a great event that some people travel from out of state for! Are you one of them? Call me or email me if you'd like more information.
I'd also like to know how many needlepointers are reading this newsletter. Please drop me a line and let me know. You can keep it short if you want...just put "peg news" in the subject line and I'll know to keep writing this every month. There's no use writing it if nobody is reading it!

Our Annual Stitching Show and Contest is going on and the winners will be announced on July 12. It is a great showing of some beautiful needlework from our wonderful customers. Our newest Cross Stitch Design - Glenariff Cottage was found on a trip to Ireland, where I was invited to judge dogs at the Belfast Dog Show Society show. Many thanks to Caroline Reynolds for suggesting that my husband, Jim take a day to hike in Glenariff Forest, just north of Belfast in Northern Ireland. As Jim made his way from Belfast to the park in County Antrim, he discovered this sweet cottage right on Glenariff Road.
Glenariff Forest is one of the world famous Glens of Antrim, an area to which tourists have
been coming for over a century. Glenariff, called the Queen of the Glens, is considered by many people to be the most beautiful of the nine Antrim Glens. If you ever get a chance to go to Ireland, GO! It is the friendliest place on earth and beautiful beyond words.
